Why the ScoutHub extension?
No ads
No pop-ups, no toolbar, no tracking.
Works everywhere
Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, news sites and any page with a video.
Instant direct files
If the video is a plain MP4 file it downloads straight through your browser without touching any server.
Arabic and English
Full Arabic (RTL) and English interface that follows your browser language.
Full control
Hide the button on any site and choose the default quality in the settings.
Privacy
The extension does not collect your browsing history and does not sell data. Only when you press Download, the link of the video or post you chose is sent to the ScoutHub service to prepare the file. No passwords or cookies are sent. Privacy Policy
What the extension does not support
- YouTube: the button does not appear there; YouTube downloads are not supported.
- DRM-protected video (Netflix, Disney+ and similar) cannot be downloaded.
- Content that requires signing in or a paid account is out of reach for our service.
Frequently asked questions
Is the extension free?
Yes, completely free and ad-free.
Why does it ask to read data on all websites?
So the download button can appear on videos on any site. We only use it to detect video elements on the page; we do not read or send the page content.
Why is there no button on a particular video?
The video may be very small, DRM-protected, on YouTube, or not playing yet (some sites only create the video player after you press play).
What is the difference between the extension and the website?
The extension is a shortcut: instead of copying the link and pasting it on the website, you press the button on the video. The website remains available for playlists and page links.
